David Crombie
Mr. Crombie has a long and distinguished career in the resource business. He was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rayrock Resources Inc., a diversified mining company, and held similar positions at two other Rayrock controlled publicly traded companies, Discovery West Corp., an oil and gas company operating in western Canada and Minera Rayrock, which developed and operated a copper mine in Chile. At Rayrock, Mr. Crombie led the Company’s advance in the 1980s to explore for gold in Nevada with Rayrock managing an exploration syndicate with partners, Barrick Gold and Placer Dome. Rayrock discovered, developed and operated three gold mines in Nevada. Rayrock also operated a profitable potash business in New Mexico, which was eventually sold to IMC Global.
Michael Crombie
Mr. Crombie is a Director of Inter-Rock and is the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Crombie has held this position since he joined the Company in 1999. Mr. Crombie has directed the growth of Inter-Rock through the successful acquisition of MIN-AD, Mill Creek Dolomite and Papillon Agricultural Company and is responsible for managing the ongoing operation of the three businesses. Prior to Inter-Rock, Mr. Crombie was with Rayrock Resources where he held an operating position at a copper mine in Chile and a corporate development and project evaluation position in Toronto. Before entering the natural resources field, Mr. Crombie worked as an electronics engineer and project manager in Ottawa. He holds a B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in physics from the University of Toronto.
Keith Belingheri
Mr. Belingheri has held numerous senior engineering, operations management and executive positions during his more than 30 years in the mining industry. Mr. Belingheri currently serves as Vice President Operations for Inter-Rock and is a member of the Board of Directors. He started with Inter-Rock in 2001. During his career, Mr. Belingheri has developed mining operations from exploration through production and managed profitable operating mines, with experience in both both open pit and underground mining. He also has experience with mineral processing, including crushing, grinding, leaching, flotation, and SX-EW circuits. Mr. Belingheri has an outstanding operating safety performance record, including a seven-year safety record with zero lost time accidents. He has also received a number of industry awards in recognition of his accomplishments in environmental stewardship and mine reclamation. Mr. Belingheri’s career includes positions at Kappes, Cassiday & Associates, Glamis Gold Ltd., Rayrock Resources Inc. and Pinson Mining Company (a partnership of Rayrock, Homestake Mining, and Barrick Gold).
Scott Kelly
Mr. Kelly is a unique business professional; he is both a successful entrepreneur and a patient, trusted advisor to CEOs and emerging companies.
Two decades ago, Scott founded a strategic communications firm focused on the pharmaceutical sector. Biocom was purchased in 2003 by the Equicom Group and Scott joined as a Partner & Board Member. By 2007, Equicom was the largest independent investor relations and strategic design firm in Canada and was acquired by the TMX Group, operator of the Toronto and Montreal Stock Exchanges. Scott remained at TMX Equicom until 2011 leading many successful roadshows and IPO communication strategies and managing pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
Scott has spent significant time as a member of audit and compensation committees, as well as a director of listed issuers in the pharmaceutical, energy and mining sectors, and has earned a reputation as a reliable and effective sounding board who is able to help senior executives successfully navigate complex business scenarios. Scott is a graduate of St. Andrew’s College, holds a degree from Queen’s University and The Venture Capital for Executives Program at The UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
Frank van de Water
Mr. van de Water holds a B.Comm. from Concordia University, Montreal, and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants. He has had a forty year career in financial roles with a variety of companies including a multinational mining, metal processing and metal trading company and extensive experience with mining companies operating in Canada, Africa and Europe, all listed on the TSX, TSXV or LSE. He has held the positions of Controller, VP Finance, CFO and President at various times, and was the Finance Director of a large metal dealer on the London Metal Exchange. Mr. van de Water is currently a Director and Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Romios Gold Resources Inc. and a Director and Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Appia Energy Corp. Mr. van de Water is also a director of a number of other resource companies listed on the CSE and TSXV.
